What are the thougths on a loose visor?

A while back I bought a pickelhaube on Ebay. 1915. The visor is securely attached at both sides by the round head retaining "pins". But, while the stitching is all evident and intact on outside of brim, it has apparently come loose over the years. It does not flop around, but will move slightly up and down. I am sure the answer will be to just let it be, but without an entire restitching wondered if there were any others "non invasive" ways of securing these. Interested in you thoughts. thanks

Oliver, what I will do in a case like that, is make one good tight stitch in the centre using two of the existing holes. That holds it tight and you do not have to go through the agony of resticthing a complete visor.

I wondered about this, any recommendations on a proper thread? like all cotton, maybe waxed? thanks for the help

I leave 'em if they are not floppy. Just don't have it resting on it's visors at all. But Tony's solution is a good one if it really bothers you.
