What in the world is this?

I’ve never seen this before. Can anyone tell me what this is and is it rare?

It says it’s some sort of Baden helmet and it looks legitimate. I just bought a Bavarian police Pickelhaube off of this guy and it’s legitimate. The stahlhelm that Pontiac mentioned just looks like an m40/55 Finnish helmet. But this looks legitimate.

This looks like a fireman officer helmet. The front plate reads "Gott zur Ehr dem nächsten zur Wehr", which is the motto of german firemen, who did wear helmets with ball finials.
But why are helmet fittings in golden metal and only the front plate in silver I don't know...
