Hi all friends :lol:

Moïse who is a friend of mine and a fellow collector too has got this prussian badge. He asked me for identify it but I've no idea, so could you please help us to know the meaning of this badge.

The shield bears the Prussian colors, of course.

Hi Maxime:

How large is the badge? From the shield and the motto, I recognize it as Hohenzollern, but dont believe it is a military award. Rather, I think it is either a commemorative or sweetheart pin.

Also the shield is the plain arms of the Hohenzollern family, so it might possibly be some type of award for personal service to the family? Or perhaps the Principality of Hohenzollern as opposed to the Royal House of Hohenzollern? I don't know, I'm just making guesses! :?
 
Could it be some kind of commemorative badge for the 1.Garde Division or Füsilier Rgt. 40, both of which used this shield as a unit logo?
