It is not really rare. They can be found quite often. This one appears to be in very bad shape. Since these were not military helmets they can be found in excellent shape. I don't know what this one costs but I would wait for a better one.

I am parting with mine!
Bought several years ago, on this forum.
It isn't the best, but it is complete (except for the Reichs cocarde), but better then the one showed.
Inside cloth liner came partially lose, as well as one side of the neck flap.
Asking 700 euro, or fair offer, parcel cost to add!



























 
I believe that this helmet is for a Prussian Customs Officer, and I'm not sure that it is supposed to have a Reichs Kokarde. They were not a Reich asset.

Indeed, also my idea.
But you do see some with a Reichs cocarde...
It is however clear that this helmet never had one.
