What is this tropical helmet?

Hi, all,
This helmet is being sold as a 1917-18 period Austrian navy tropical helmet. The certainly looks wrong to me....maybe a French inter-war helmet with a repro bullion patch?

Not military to me.
Civil, or commercial navy line headress.

It looks like a civilian sun helmet to me, and I would think perhaps even later than interwar. This could be from the 1950s based on the construction.

It's a french commercial sun helmet. The bullion is clearly a fake.
