When does a helmet become unreparable?

How far gone can a helmet before before it can be not be brought back? How many spare parts can be used to rebuild a helmet and still be considered authentic? I am looking at lots of parts wondering when to stop. Any advice is welcome.

Hey MP,
Any helmet assembled from parts will still be a parts helmet, even if the parts are authentic, I beleive that adding chinstraps and Kockarden does not change the value of a helmet much as these parts are commonly missing, but changing a Wappen can diminish the value if it does not fit the markings or is not standard to the type of helmet. That being said, there is nothing wrong with conserving a pile of parts and resurecting them into a Frankenstein helmet.
