Hi Gino - it is a veterans organization cap ("Krieger-Verein"), evidently from Oberkirn in Rhineland-Palatinate. Not worn by any Imperial German military unit.

Well, not the military establishment of the Empire - but from an organization of Imperial German former soldiers.
