I wrote this piece addressing why we're not seeing more World War I focused games:

I play this game and I love it! I think the problem is that everyone thinks ww1 games are "old". There are not a lot of machine guns is the game too.

Nothing to do with WWI but, my favorite game is Saints Row, it has everything, shooting, racing, flying, fighting, and… eh.. also … BOOBS! \:D/ :hello1: dpeng

Well, ah.. yes Ed I can see the obvious attraction to that game...I may even get a copy for myself! However, my 2 cents worth on this issue, is that WW1 means very little to Americans...it was a one year gig! To Canadians, it marked the birth of our nationalism, our concept of nationhood separate from the Brits. In addition, the Canucks, and Aussies became the storm troops in the last 100 Days driving out the Germans from the occupied lands. Actually...Last 100 Days 1918 could provide a new Game title for a Game company. This game would include a war of movement with all kinds of heroes and action, MG nests, even cavalry charges. However,...this ain't going to happen because it won't sell in the US.
