I thought Tony might nlike seeing the dog.

Brian Kostel sent me this cool picture I added (with others) to draft 3 of the Uberzug article . What is not on the site is that their dog participated!

WHAT are those? Leave passes or something? They are not permanent on the Überzug, must be some sort of typical German humour? Like their habit of placing foliage on them for photos. Nice pup too.

That was my first thought too, but the papers are not all the same size, could this be done to hide their regimental numbers because of an order to do so for all photos? OOps, I guess not as the dog has one too.
