Looks to be a fire helmet, the white stripe will probably glow in the dark!

so the guy wearing it was a fireman putting out fires after Allied bombing raids?

I am know expert on these, I know these where used during WWII and also into 50's for sure.

Hey Andrew, I think the white line was a high water mark from the big flood. rsrsrs I would think that it would be a good deal atthe current price though. The seller does suggest that it my be fire.

Probably post-WW2. Something looks missing on the top of the shell :twisted:

A complete Feuerwehr helmet is quite easy to find. I would say, don't lose your time on this one.

thx for the tips. Weather here is OK- COLD however. It was minus 40 degrees celsius this morning, so my school bus did'nt show. I got to sleep in until 9:00- instead of 6:45. They are forecasting the same tomorrow! YAY

These arew very common and can be found in better non- messed with condition It is a fire Helmet ,that is the reason for the sets of vents on the upper bowl. Look in EBAY US or CA for these .
