wrong way Landwehr cross

It took me a while to get this out of the cabinet. but here are the pictures. The helmet is correct, but a little bit beat up. There are no double holes. So this thing might have come this way. The wappen looks very good crisp with some residue of the gilding. It looks as though the center crown was reattached with some sort of reinforcement, but I cannot tell when. The screw posts are old, and the Landwehr cross is simply attached with hooks but no solder. I know nothing of metallurgy, but my daughter took a few pictures.

Hey Joe,
This is a very interesting, I believe that this cross as did the last one we saw, exhibits signs of being cast, it has the rough surface of a cast item. The thing that I find odd, is that is does not look to be square, the bottom arm appears to be offset to our right, but I can see that perspective is very important, as the upper edge of the shield looked to slope off to our right in the earlier photo, but not so much in these photos.
To me, this looks to have come from the same mold/die as the other, the minor differances in detail would have been from the finishing process in my opinion.
To see two examples of this cross means that neither are unique, ruling out my early thought. Now the question remains, could this be an original item, or something that was produced many years ago to fill a hole in the market. If this had been a Wappen or Kockard, I do not think that many on this forum would accept it as original.
Best wishes
Gus
