Wurttemberg EM M1895 Infantry Regiment No. 127
A little restoration was needed, the back visor was loose, the stitching was gone, and of course, someone tried to glue it back on #-o … STOP DOING THAT PEOPLE :x It never holds.
First I had to remove all the glue, luckily it came off easily, then I‘ve put a new thread in the old stitch holes in the middle and on the ends of the visor, and voila, as good as new, you can’t even see it.
The antlers are gone, as is often the case with the Wurttemberg wappen , otherwise still complete ,the chinstrap even marks its place in the front visor.
This helmet belonged to Gefreiter Hiller - 5 th komp.
The 127th had an incredible run during WWI, Argonne, De Somme, Reims, Hill 60, you name it, they were there.
