Some examples of Wurttemberg kokarden:
A matched pair of kokarden taken from a Wurttemberg officer helmet restoration. Most Wurtt. state kokardes are brass,, this one is not.
The base colour here is obviously black, then the red is applied. Fan shaped officer kokarden in my experience do not have a backing as there is no white metal ring.
The more common all brass Wurttemberg officer kokarde.
On this example, there is no base colour on the back.
