Is this one a legit M15 model?

Agreed. The plate looks right though... assembled helmet? No markings either that the seller has shown, so....

Hi Ron,
Here is a genuine, untouched and uncleaned Wurtemberg Dragoner helmet.

Very nice Bruno; thanks for posting!

That's WAY past very nice. Impossible to find one of these, I have had the Waffenrock for 15 years and I cannot find that Pickelhaube. Incredible to think that Überzug has been on that helmet for 90+ years. How cool is that?

Bruno,

Thank you for sharing the pics.

Regarding cleaning: Would I ever, ever find such a rare helmet I think I might even let the 'original' dust on...
Great Pickelhaube !
Rgds,
Francis

How rare and at the same time marvelous and with the original cover can a helmet be? OMG

Thanks very much to all of you for the nice comments. I have indeed reasons to believe that this hat came to me in the same condition as it was stored away in 1918. The shellack has somehow melted and left stains on the Uberzug. I have always refrained from cleaning anything on this helmet. I did not even dare undoing the chinscales, and the cockades are stuck to the shell.
Tony, I know this is on your wish list... I told you a long time ago I would look for one for you, but I never saw another one. Joe, you are of course welcome to use the pictures. In fact I thought you already had these markings in your thread.
Bruno
PS: referring to a recent discussion about gilding of EM plates, this one obviously had a nice "Versilberung", most of which is now gone.
