Hi,

Enclosed, you will find a photo of a Bavarian Chevaulegers taken during the first months of the War.
My question is concerning the scales. Is it possible that they were covered with a cotton cover?

I have seen this once but do not have a picture to share. These scales were covered by 2 separate “socks”. One for the left and one for the right.
 
Hi Joe,

Can you tell me when the Bavarian Cavalrymen put this feldgrau cover over the chin scales of their helmets?
