WW1 Turkish Steel Helmet Not Original

I have a review of the WW1 Turkish Steel Helmet on my website http://www.ottoman-uniforms.com/ww1-turkish-steel-helmet/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A comparison with this version on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291123721659?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is not original.

Specific problems:

i) Heavy burning/corrosion inside, and out typical of the cheep 'aging' seen on these cut-down M16, as well the loss of the liner.
ii) The angle to the cut on the visor area is too high.

It looks like a converted M44 to me (or maybe a repro shell that was damaged), perhaps a compression cracked battlefield pick-up (perhaps with a damaged rim or visor) that somebody converted for some odd reason. I agree, it doesn't look good at all.
