I can not see anything wrong with the helmet, it appears to be complete, although the state cockade is not shown, the helmet itsself seems to be farily sound and in decent condition, what is it that you see wrong with it?

Well Gus, I don't like the scales much, the way they're attached, and I don't like the condition overmuch either.

The 'B.A.O.' stamp bothers me slightly too. I dont know why? I think one company of Rgt.124 served in the Boxer uprising but....hmmm? Ah what the hell - I was feeling lousy this morning!
 
From what I can see of the helmet, I think it looks to be pretty good, just normal age issues, but... the seller seems to be hiding the top of the helmet, and we can see no photo of the left side. A photo fo the Wappen would be required before one wanted to bid.
