Well the actual stories are clearly "made for TV" (althought still better than last summer's latest Indiana Jones movie), the DVD box sets of the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles have some fantastic bonus features.
Each disc is loaded with two or three bonus features, each a half an hour or longer. In the Indiana Jones WWI box set, which covers his numerous "adventures" from the trenches to Africa to just about everywhere else, there are some great featurettes. Some examples include a look at Kaiser Karl of Austria, Lawrence of Arabia and the war in Palestine, Von Lettow-Vorbeck, Smuts and others.
Plus you get the hocky TV movies.
