This is the film, The battle of the Somme, which created a stir when it whas released, in Britain.
It is remastered, and shown in full. People in Britain, were shown the horrors of war..
As on a headstone of one of the fallen soldiers is written, on Tyne cot cemetary in Passchendaele, sacrificed to the fallacy that war can end war..

This is a very long posting on You-tube, almost 3 hours. It commemorates the 100 anniversary of the battle of Passchendaele 1917.
Especially the last 2 hour's are very interesting. As usual, when I visit the Ypres salient, the last post ceremony is alway's the last I visit, before turning home again, after visiting the Ypres salient.

One of the best documentaries on the Battle of Jutland. Nathan Jellicoe (Grandson of British Fleet Admiral John Jellicoe) Just an incredible job and unbiased coverage.



The second is the last days of the High Seas Fleet. Again, narrated by Nathan Jellicoe, a great piece.
