Only medal in my collection but is in good condition and displays nice.

You know that the ribbon is not of the period ?

Yes, I am aware. I am considering getting an original ribbon. I am also on the market for a first class.

How can you tell the ribbon isn't original? I also have a EK II but no idea if the ribbon is original.

Most ribbons are replaced. If it isn’t attached to a medal bar and is in practically mint condition. It’s usually replaced or replica.
