I always wanted to show them all together in one photo.Today I found time and built a makeshift structure. It was not easy in this heat.Regards to all history lovers.
Thank you very much. Have a nice day.Wow. Excellent collection Wojtek!
It took me about six years to build this collection of pickelhaubes, but nothing else mattered. Before that I built a collection of Wehrmacht Heer, especially sappers and liaison officers.Warm regards. That's a seriously nice collection.
What sort of time span did that take to put together?
Only two pieces come from Poland, the rest I bought in France and Germany. There are a lot of parts in the ground, but you need to have the skills of a metallurgist to repair them. The collectors' market in Poland is very hermetic, only after the death of the collector you can buy anything.RegardsVery nice collection! How many come from Poland? How easy is it to find Pickelhauben left in Poland after WW1? Once I entered a small antique shop in Krakow and I found a Tschapka Rabatte, that I bought of course.
I have collected 30 pickelhaubes, 2 raupenhelm,1 tschapka and 1 tschako.Thank you for your feedback.Nice collection. Thank you for sharing. How many are there altogether?
Thank you for your feedback, but for some people six years is an awfully long time.RegardsCongratulations on an excellent collection Wojtek. That is a remarkable achievement for only 6 years.
