I did it again, another Adrian helmet is in my collection as of now, a scarce Zouave variant.

Well, I couldn't resist this scarce Adrian Zouave 1st regiment de marche helmet. These are quite rare, as being worn by only the 1st regiment de marche.
Other Zouave regiments had a different badge on it, see the large 1 in the emblem. It is complete with it's liner and chinstrap.

I like Adrian helmets! Hope you all enjoyed them too!

Thanks friends! John Josef, this is also the first one I saw, a Belgian collector friend had it for sale, the same guy I bought the Belgian Adrian from.
So I bought it from him, at a very nice price too. He is selling a lot of allied items, and wants too keep his collection only WW1 German. Has a very nice pickelhaube collection already.

That's wonderful congratulations, let me know if he has a nice complete WWI Italian helmet for sale and you're not interested.

Also, I have several friends here in the states that only collect Allied items and I may also be interested in other items he is parting with to help them out as well. regards John Josef

He doesn't have Italian items for sale, but does have some US ww1 items he wants to sell. In fact a lot of them. I'll get in touch with him, and ask him if he want's to send them to the states. He isn't a member here by the way, so I'll also ask him if he wants to participate here too.
That makes it easier for the lot of us off-course.

Great addition!😎

Well, today I bought another Adrian helmet.. A French infantry one, first model, in horizon blue. Worse of all, I'm now bidding on a French Genie Adrian too, also in horizon blue. And that one is also a first model one.. with the veterans plate attached.
Pictures will follow soon, the infantry one will arrive first, and the genie one later, at least, if I win that one too.
Did I mention I really like those Adrian helmets guy's? ;)

Regards, Coert.

I don’t blame you, Adrians are definitely one of the most attractive helmets of the Great War!

That may be but there is only one design that has stood the test of time with millions and millions of soldiers all around the world still wearing its basic design who owe their lives to just what a great design it was. I think we all know which one that is ;)

The US M1 helmet, I presume? It went through several changes, but is still in use today. I had one when I was serving in the Dutch army, and I still have the helmet here at home, and my complete outfit too.
