U.R 21 TSCHAPKA

Nice and complete. Is the shape rounded for a Tschapka? Mine is curved flat for a Tschako. Which could be:
  • Sachsen Jäger battalions, Nr. 12, 13, and 15 (until 1909)
  • Kgl. Sächs. Telegraphen-Bataillon Nr.7
  • 3rd Komp of Luftschiffer-Bataillon Nr.2
  • 3rd Komp of Flieger-Bataillon Nr.1
  • 2nd Komp Kraftfahr-Bataillon

Curved horizontally, straight vertically. For Shako.
And the plate for Saxon Chapska, had the gold star and the Saxon shield in nickel silver

That was one nice and rare helmet to parade
A Saxon Uhlan officer
No telling what it sold for

Thank you for the discussion on Saxon Ulan OR Tschapka Wappen and comparing the differences between other Saxon Wappen. One can never have enough information in this area of collecting.
Best regards
John
