Well, That's a downer. Yes, I totally agree, there are several people who state that they avoid certain alcohol styles like specifically Tequilla because of a bad experience. Alcoholism is indeed a health risk and serious condition. Heck, Alcoholism can actually have death be a side effect from DT's (Delirium Tremens). However, this thread is not for the Teetotalers. Like with anything addictive, there needs to be a bit of temperance and maturity to enjoy.
Of course, there is a chance to over indulge and perhaps die or have major health concerns. However, this forum is about recommendations of a good beer for those who like to partake. If you choose not to partake, than that is your right.

Beer and alcohol has been around for many millennia, I totally agree, responsible drinking, not driving or operating machinery/cars after having enjoyed alcohol is totally not acceptable. However, If you enjoy a beer or two in a responsible manner; not putting yourself or anyone else in danger, then, it is one of the best things to do with people. To raise a pint to celebrate the "Moment". for this moment like the pint is fleeting. Take it for what it is. Cheers/Prost/Siálante or what ever "well wishing" slogan you choose to use.

If you still have a can, if possible, please look at the back there should be information regarding the Brewery's location. I did notice the 1516 logo on the bottom but it's not a bier they brew so I'm at a loss.

Beer O'Clock! Trappist Chimay. "Bleue". Alc. 9% vol. One of Belgium's Finest! 15cl glass.

-in general I prefer the strongest, dark Trappist beers. Never to be kept in the fridge...Cellar temperature. Except for the Orval.

-the last picture: The big uns.
At the left: in the back; well hidden-the Chimay Bleue-Grande Reserve-Champagne style corked: 2005

American Trappist. The only none European.
-Started brewing in 2013. Ended in 2022.

I really like the Belgian Trappist beer's, especially when having a nice evening relaxing. When just finished a workday, I usually drink Warsteiner, but that ain't no trappist off-course, regular beer, but a nice, fresh tasting one. After dinner, and reading referencebooks, or busy with my collection, the Trappist's come in action. If after dinner I am in my garage, working on my motorcycles, the Warsteiner is present. I have a fridge in my garage too..

Great Coert. Enjoying a cool beer.
Correct: There is beer: for drinking. Refreshing. And there is Trappist... for tasting; autumn and winter evenings. Well...not rulling out that a blonde Trappist can be tasted on a hot summer day. 😎
 
Went to a great German restaurant in Philadelphia recently.

The first time I have found "König Pilsner" in the US. The only time I've had it in Germany was a great restaurant in Potsdam.
