I just got a Bavarian helmet with a brass Detachable spike, I have never seen this before apart from with gray painted helmets, how common was the brass Detachable spike? Hope to post a pic shortly. Cheers Stu DAS158ER

Has anyone got any information on a Dr K.H. Senger of the 79th Infanterie Regiment. I have a tornister with his name in, marked to that regiment, also has his address in it. Would love to find out more if poss. The Tornister has a 1914 date on it. Danke Stu Da158er

Looks like a lobstertail, can you make out any of the writing on the cross? The soldiers were probablykilled during the battles at Guise or St Quentin in 1914 Stu Das158er
