    Colberg 1807

I wish I knew how to post photos on this site. Alas, I do not, and I expected someone to ask for them (rightfully so). This is an enlisted helmet, infantry, really in nice shape except the liner is a bit ratty. Next to the FB stamp is a size marking, looks to be 59. Under the other marking...

    Colberg 1807

I just got a Prussian helmet with the "Colberg 1807" bandeau on it. On the rear visor, in a rectangle, is the stamp "F.B." Does this mean "Fusillier Battalion"? On the other side of the rear visor is the stamp "K.A.R." Have no idea what this means. Can someone help on this? Thanks

Brookly Park Militaria show July 25th

I have never been to the St Paul show. Is this a good place to find Imperial helmets? As a relatively new guy to this website, I am anxious to learn which shows are worth while attending as far as Imperial helmets are concerned. Besides the Louisville show, what other shows are worth going to...

equipment and uniforms for one-year volunteers,

All this informationis extremely interesting....and CLARIFYING. Especially to a relatively new and inexperienced collector, this is invaluable information and helps avoid pitfalls and bad buying errors. I especially like the comment that helmets with extra holes are not all bad...Couldn't...

    Parade Bush

I have a Saxon Train Abteilung EM helmet with parade brush. I think it is made of horsehair. The brush is very coarse and black. It is also very un-manageable and looks like it could use a lot of conditioner after a heavy wash (not that I would think of actually doing that). I'd like it to...

    Value of Restored Helmet

On the website, www.militaria-online.de, there is a Prussian officers Grenadier Helmet for the 1st Regiment. The dealer states that the helmet is "restored." I look at the helmet and, being a newby, have a hard time telling what has been restored on it. The shell sure looks almost perfect...

    Imperial spiked helmet dealers

I have a couple short questions concerning the overseas dealers. 1. When purchasing a helmet from a dealer in the UK or Germany, approximately what would/should be the shipping cost to the USA? (I am interested in buying helmets, not supporting the post office) 2. Is the helmet subject to...

Thank you all for your comments. I am about 20 miles west of Green Bay, the place where Brett Favre used to play football before thinking of joining the Vikings.

    New Guy on Site

I just registered for this website, althoI have been reading the postings for many months. Finally decided to take the plunge, especially when I saw that friends from the Luger collectors sites (George Anderson, Ed Tinker) were members. I have a small (17-18 pieces) Imperial helmet...
