    Guess Where?

I live in Kingston, Ontario on the St Lawrence. We have Fort Henry and Fort Frontenac here in Kingston and Fort Welington is about an hour away in Prescott. Sackets Harbor the location of Fort Pike in the US is not too far away either.

Yes they get right into your heart. I still miss my dog Shelby who died many years ago. Chihuahua Terrier with Chihuahua attitude and terrier speed.

Any fellow members here who enjoy a good Bier ?

Found a great brewery in Salem Massachusetts this summer. Wife is not normally a beer fan but really enjoyed the strawberry flavoured wheat beer (like a Belgian style).

I think yours might have been repainted for use in WWII. I also have one on the way now in a similar colour. Have the Belgian Adrian bug now too. Not as infectious as the Pickalhaube bug but….. Wondering if the original paint would be underneath mine? Does not look like it from the area...

M1 helmet dad has gifted me

Despite wear and tear I really like the liner with the 1st Armored Division insignia. Could well have been used after the war in another rear seam helmet with swivel bales and newer chin strap. So you have the choice of finding a nice front seam fixed bale helmet to go with the liner to make...

Reversed the photo. I only downloaded it temporarily to do the reverse and then immediately deleted it from my iPad. Did not want to save it without permission but now we can see how it should have looked.
