    The helmet has to be from the 116th Infantry Regiment. This regiment is the only standard Hessen (plain Hessen front plate) regiment that was allowed to wear a black plume for parades.

    The chinscales are NOT tombac. This is a big problem as correct tombac chinscales will be nearly impossible to find.

    I agree with Tony. Original steins had very sedate themes for the bottom window. Nudity and buxom girls are seen in steins from the post 1950 era.

    I am sorry. You must of misread my post. The weight of an eagle is only an initial part of the examination. An original eagle must be lightweight at under 500 grams. An eagle weighing 524 grams is too heavy and thus a COPY as you indicated.
