This will go far into the $2000 range. No it isn't a m15, there is no documentation of a M15 model for this regiment. The fittings are most likely neusilber.

Looks like a parts helmet, good parts, with the exception of the chinstrap. I think the spike and spike base are original but maybe not to this helmet. The seller usually has some good stuff and his description is honest for example the call out on the repro chinstrap.

Looks nice! The chinstrap doesn't bother me, it doesn't belong with that helmet but looks like a good M15 chinstrap with a interesting makers mark.

Looks good to me! I don't have a problem with that liner or the teeth, seems standard for a Einjahresfreiwillige. Everything on the helmet seems to be original and there seems to be a consistent aging on the fittings and leather. I would say go for it :thumb up:

Ohhhh nooo. Horrible! :o This is why you buy lots of books and educate yourself before you bid on crap like this, something that is completely fake. For that money you could have bought 4 or 5 of the best resources on the subject, now the winning bidder has something worthless. [-X

Yes it had these little two button monograms just like what you see in the Beck photos, trust me, I remember I was looking at the ebay auction daily. In my mind if Beck thought this was a good cap in the first place, then why change the kokarden? I think because it isn't the real deal and why...

Looks like some one hit it with projectile mud!! That spike looks crazy fake, the wappen is way oversized for the helmet and the stitching is completely redone. Avoid this at all cost!!!

I'm I missing that picture then? I don't see that stamp in the pictures anywhere. Yes I understand that and I agree in helmets marked with a date of 1915 lots of things are possible but also the chinscales wouldn't be necessarily worn either or possibly not original to the helmet. A enlisted...

Its good to narrow down your collecting to stay focused and manage your time and $$$ wisely. I love the M15's and look forward to obtaining some more for my collection but I have got to have the shiny stuff too! When pre M15 fittings are under a good display light(especially officer fittings)...

Pardon my lack of French but does this description read "spike is not removable"? If so that would be a problem. Also no regiment markings or corps number. These units wore a parade bush so the spike should be able to come off. Other than that its a nice one...

When you offer good clear pictures, a original item in nice condition and a return policy it can make a big difference.

Coming from NYC I would feel right at home then and in NYC you could probably find a "horse stall" themed bar or restaurant. Too bad I couldn't make it to SOS this year.

this is one of those total gut feeling "not good" helmets. the double holes turn me off right away! [-X
