Saw some of his work in an exhibition in Edinburgh a few years ago. Pretty hard-hitting stuff, as I remember.Cheersthe art work is a painting by georg Grosz, called Grau Tag, he was a ww1 Veteran who was a famous artist in 1920's the art was called New Objectivity.
Another rabbit hole to go down. He left for America when AH came too power...View attachment 64205View attachment 64206View attachment 64207

I used a triangular light wood frame to give it the depth perception and fit in the corner of the room. The outside planking is achieved by breaking up old pallets and attaching to the frame. Makes the whole structure light weight. The logs on top are branches from the garden cut short to give the appearance of a top covering.Incredible collection thanks for taking the time to share it with us. What a great way to start my day
I've always dreamed of making part of a trench in my war room but have been shot down by the wife, I dont want to sidetrack this wonderful thread but can you share how you did those cases like that. I may be able to pull that one off.
Congratulations on building such a wonderful collection.
Cheers, I was blown away by your wall of helmets back in the daywanted to buy your Bavarian M 18 Rw helmet from Bill Shea but couldn't afford it back then
