A Few East Asian Expeditionary Corps Images

Here are a few more from my small collection of East Asian Expeditionary Corps images. The first I believe is an artillery man. Shown with his issued straw hat. Noting he lacks a China Medal, so this must have been taken shortly after the Boxer Rebellion, during early occupation duties in North China. The second, NCO’s from the Corps sit alongside French Marines for their portrait at a Peking photo studio. Such “multi-national” images were very popular souvenirs for all the Allied nations shortly after the Boxer Rebellion was suppressed. I believe you can see the vent holes on the 1900 summer field cap these NCO’s are wearing. Finally, from an American veteran of the Boxer Rebellion….a multinational shot of the Allied powers.
