That is a shortened Prussian postdegen (postal sword) It had a prussian eagle attached to the guard, wire wrapped grip and a leather scabbard. This is the more plain version of the hilt. Private purchase manufactured by WK&C (Weyersberg, kisrchbaum&co #50) probably around 1900.
