Bored on a Sunday night and thought I would share...

Still not bored.
Here are my I R 92 enlisted helmets.
A short story about one of these helmets.
I must tell this on myself, as it came back into my memory
while on the subject.
As a new collector and a binger in the hobby,
I wanted an I R 92 helmet badly.
I worked my way into the Network of advanced collectors .
This old boy got taken for a ride.
The advanced collector told me that he could get me
an I R 92 e m helmet with skull
BUT, they are very rare and he would have to have
an e m G d C helmet with eagle top in trade
The G d C e m helmets, when I started to collect
could be bought for $ 125.00 to $ 150.00
So, I did the deal.
I did many more deals with this same collector
over years
Buy ; sell & trade
I think in the long run with the deals
I came out ahead over the years
1970 to 2023
