The helmet is made entirely of felt, including the visors. This is the first time I've seen a helmet made this way.

I know that Wilhelm Jäger from Elberfeld experimented with felt helmets in 1844, because the company exhibited felt helmets at a trade fair that year. So I can well imagine that it was a test helmet.
