Can somebody identify this helmet for me?

Found this in my grandparent’s basement today being used as a bookend. Couldn’t find a picture that matched this on google so maybe I could get some info about this helmet. Thanks!

Interesting Helmet does anyone know if this Wappen was a badge of honor for only those who had served 50 years in this fire department or was it an anniversary of 50 years for this entire station?

Just curious as I've never seen one before, Thanks in advance for any information.

Yes, I have never seen that date bandeau on this type of wappen before either. Interesting. Benebs.....the helmet is missing its cloth liner which would have been stitched to the edge of that scalloped sweatband.
