We have had some photos taken and posted in the past of European Museum collections and some of the shows. I would like to Encourage our European members to bring their cameras along when they go to a show, no matter how small and take some pictures to post here on the forum. I will do the same here both with the SOS as well as the smaller shows held here in the Toronto area. A forum is a living and growing thing, it thrives on new posts and responses. As it grows, it becomes a huge data base for research and information which can be, and is used by thousands of people. We collectors think only of the actual original historic pieces in our hunt for treasure but there are spin off benefits to other people.....family researchers, historians, game designers, reenactors, the film industry, restorers, museum curators, artists, modelers and yes, charlatans and fakers but we can try and restrict that. If we step back and look at our present situation, never in the History of WW Imperial German collecting, has there EVER been so much information available! We have this forum, The Kaisers Bunker and Col. J's plus others that I am not aware of. This is a great time to be alive and collecting. Something to think about!
One last thing.....many of our European collectors feel shy or unsure about their "English" please, do not worry about that. We can work around this problem and no one is going to criticize you. Pictures speak a thousand words.
