Many small details seem to be off, I wouldn't buy it, looks like a copy to me

EDIT: general shape of the helmet, quality of rolled rim, protrusion ("horns") for steel front plate, leather band on the inside, just to name a few

There is no maker stamp or size that I can see at all too, plus external paint is almost perfect ☹️

LARS13 thanks - the items you have listed, is it possible to say what it should be? This will be an education for me. Many thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,
If you search for Stahlhelm on this forum you will find plenty of pictures of original examples to compare with, but typically the rim looks much more professionally rolled, the protrusions have the wrong proportions, and the leather band inside the helmet should be a single thick piece of leather instead of being sown together; in addition the leather looks artificially aged.
Regards,
Lars

This is a Chinese production.Leather painted with wood stain. The strap is not worn out from the inside. The Chinese in another version soak the helmet in pig manure for three months. You have to know the enemy to fight him.
