Felt Ersatz wappen colors

Rather then tag on to the new Erstaz posting in New items, I thought I would start a new thread.

So when it comes to these helmets and finish on metal parts, I have seen the standard Brass, also standard Field grey painted. Then also the chemically darkened, and lastly the Greenish tone paint.

so from left to right:

Filed Grey painted, Chemically darkened, Green paint type.

Don't forget the blacked painted variant .
I do have one but I am too lazy to post pics right now.
I have been on the search for a Wurt chemically darkened example.
I have only seen them in books.
This is a great post.

Here is my black painted example.
Somebody else pictured their example it was much darker than mine
The spike is steel and nonremovable.
The posts and buckles are also painted black.

My last ersatz helmet is all black. But the pictures of it makes it seem a lot brighter than it is.

Yes, a very amazing example of a green JR 88, they didn't spare the paint on that one!

A buddy of mine picked up a felt ersatz with the dark green painted fittings last year.

I think these are fairly uncommon, as I have not seen very many of them over the years. Single maker?
