IR88 Nassauisches nr2 haube, enlisted men.

More on I R 88
Here are 2 more examples that I have
I think these came from Hermann Historical
and were part of the collection of the late fellow collector from Belgium
I think these banners are not made into the plate
but I no longer handle my helmets very much
Also my I R 88 Reserve Officer

I wonder if anybody who's bidding a LOT of money has asked for a photo of the back of the plate, since none are posted? No returns? Nope.

Will be interesting to see who ends up with it and at what price.

Maybe there is a member here who is keeping quiet and has already asked for a picture of the back of the plate and is not saying anything hoping to keep the interest and the price down.

Or maybe even talking it down in hope to get it a bit cheaper.

You just never know; collectors are a strange bunch of addicts. :ROFLMAO:

Only kidding but it is food for thought

I do not like the marking. Here for comparaison the marking of my JR 88, too from the III/JR88. Sharply different, there are two independants markings for the unit and the Bataillon (and a faded date 1907, between the two).

So am I consider strange?? Lol

I will take a look at the helmet seriously.

Tell me a little bit the tags on your helmets
Are these made and applied by you ?
Thanks
Steve
Hi Steve

The tag details the condition of the helmet, the regiment, year and from whom did I get it from and also the price.

I cannot remember so many details so I figured out a tag will be good. Also each helmet has a member tag that matches the stock list that gives details such as location of helmet. Lol

It's like a warehouse system

Amy, you are a smart collector! Unfortunately, I am not that well organized. :) Fantastic helmets everyone! 👍

For my part, I do not see any problems with the stamps on the ebay helmet.
We all know on many many other examples of other units that their shapes used to change in time.
So for me, not usual that a stamp from the year 1908 could be different from a stamp of the year 1914.

The stamp I showed is from 1907, not 1914 (Kompanie stamp).

Amy my friend I don't think you need to ask that question ;)

Strange NO, I would say the word would be unique more like the glamorous and exotic Imelda Marcos of Pickelhauben collectors. (y)(y)

Hello specialists
Would you take a look at my emblem? Does it correspond to an original? I hope you can give me a positive signal. Thank you to everyone!!!

Amy
Thanks and a good idea
It's like a warehouse system
with the number of helmets that you own
you need a warehouse system
soon you will need other tags to tell which building a helmet is located in
