Is this a converted officers haube?

Hello, I'm just asking for your insight on this pickelhaube, I believe it to be a converted Officers haube to a fireman's haube, but I am not too sure. Does anyone know of the origin of the pickelhaube?

The leather body looks like an officer's model 1871/99,converted to a firefighter's helmet.The rear visor has been repainted,maybe it can be saved.Straightening the helmet should not be a problem,because you can see that the leather is not smeared with grease.Greetings

Sweat band it is from the era.It was probably truncated.Photo.I know this seller for me-1963 and he sells good stuff.
