Thank you so much for this information I really appreciate itThe national colors kokarde (black-white-red) one is a re-paint. (the white ring has been repainted quite sloppy.)
The liner is dry and crusty, and from your limited view of the liner that you posted, it appears to be damaged on one side where it has deteriorated.
Do we know if the chinstrap is original, or is it a replica chinstrap? A real chinstrap is valued at $300+. That's a lot of value for this helmet riding on whether or not the chinstrap is real or a replica, and a real non-repainted kokarde will cost a minimum of $125. Y0u will also need a Baden kokarde that will cost you probably another $120 to $125, in order to replace the incorrect black-white-black Prussian kokarde that is currently on this helmet.
Considering the figures I just posted above, what does the math tell you, as to whether or not they are asking a reasonable price? (Remember, a lot depends upon if the chinstrap is a replica, or if it is actually an original chinstrap. I can't tell from your photos whether it is original, or a copy chinstrap.)
See what others have to say here. Maybe someone else here can determine from your photos as to whether the chinstrap is original, or if it is a copy. My eyes can't make that determination for you here, unfortunately.
Best Wishes,
Alan
