If I was gonna bid, I'd ask for a few more pictures but IMO it looks real and if so, would be very rare.

Someone will buy it have it restitched put on a chinstrap and cockades and be happy or try and flip it only time will tell but I'd bet we will see it again here one way or another.

I sure hope so. The winning bid I imagine is going to be pretty high!

It is a great helmet but finding a cockade isn’t going to be easy along with a matching minty spike and having it repaired. But it’s very rare. Rob

I was going to say the same thing I checked yesterday morning, and it was over a grand.

Take the Wappen off and you have what is about a $250 US dollar damaged M15.

With taxes and shipping its over $2000 US dollars already and still going, that's a lot of money for a Wappen.

I'd love to find a pile of new old stock Mecklenberg Wappen.

I don't think you can cancel your bid with less than 12 hours to go without asking the seller to do it for you. It would not Suprise me to see it drop back down to a grand, then go back up again. Rob

Connoisseurs will certainly have seen, or rather guessed, the very special BA stamp that goes well on the rear visor...Like the one already seen on another example, also a warbond helmet without cockades, sold on ebay.com in September 2015, also for a lot of money...
Helmets that have probably never been worn...
