Even cought my eye that there is no hole in the felt towards the spike so nothing of ventilation for the wearer ... other than that its a very pristine condition 👌👌

I saw as well the use of old style square brass nuts on both wappen posts and the spike base screws. Zinc washers also added to the support disc so that the nuts did not pull through. No hole cut into the top of the shell for ventilation is weird and again, never seen that before.

If you are asking if the rim is reenforced with bamboo, it’s not. It is just a seem, but it those maintain the shape of the helmet a lot better than the cut versions.
Yes that lacking vent hole is a bit of a mystery, Probe ? manufactory mistake ? the jury’s out.
 
J.Bambus & Co was a maker. Have a look at Johan Somers' book: volume 7. 'A photographic journey of uniforms and equipment through the 20th century'. 'Felt Helmets': pages 138-207.

Indeed...just an assumption... Guess this 'roled edge stitch" has never been patented...
-There must be a Makers mark list somewhere...
