Metal does not shrink,only the dried skin.Therefore, the helmet skin should be restored to its original state.Regards.

Sandy I have made some sheet metal patterns and I straighten on them.I have made sheets for all the headgear of the German empire in different sizes.One sheet goes inside,and the other outside.The leather must be moistened.
