Mecklenburgisches Füsilier-Regiment Kaiser Wilhelm Nr.90

Wow!! There are a few bucks in Meck headgear shown in that photo! Excellent! I have never seen such a group photo before. (y)

I was just updating my Officer Stellvertreter strap displays
I had forgot to show this Officer Stellvertreter pair for Fusilier Regt 90
in Feldgrau .They came from a Stauffer auction .They had been a blanket
of straps from the garrison of Prussian Dragoon Regt 15 F R 90 Officer S T.JPGDragoon  Regt 15  blanket.jpeg

Very nice, photo. Excellent view of the shoulder strap, so many of these can’t be seen.

Hello,
interesting topic.
Here is my contribution: two helmets from the FR90 "alter Art". On the left the M68 model with its beautiful ribboned kockade and on the right, the M91 model with its very specific shaped kockade.

As for the M95, no difference between an FR90 and a GR89, except with regard to the small tulip tip ball. Fixed for a FR and unscrewable for a GR;

What stunning examples!

Two 1914-1916 veterans, both named, both wearers taken prisoners.
Left: FR90/I/RJR90, 4.K (wearer taken prisoner on Hill 304 near Verdun, 19 May 1916). Right: I/GR89, 3 K. (wearer taken prisoner on the Ourcq, 10 September 1914).

What stunners, Philippe!! I have a soft spot in my heart for Mecklenburg-Schwerin, as that is where my Bandow (and other) ancestors were from. A very bad economic situation in the 1860s led them to leave, but our family still holds a fondness for our old home!

Here is a photo of the FR90, which is interesting because among the enlisted soldiers with their M97 helmets and Waffenrocks are a few reservists or Wehrmanns wearing M71/91 helmets with tulip tips and carrying a Litewska .

And below, an astonishing photo of a GR89... the front plate of the Strelitz, but the fluted tip of the Schwerin.

Here's an M68, modified M71 (with rear spine). The small ball at the top is fixed, so it's an FR90. The GR89s have this little ball that can be unscrewed to screw in the Haarbusch. The tuliped tip is then used as a trichter.
