Back around 1970 , an enlisted mans Garde du Corp helmet with an eagle top was $ 125.00
Officers rare regiment helmets were $ 50.00 each
For Norm Flayermann ; Bill Stevens ; Walter E. Hartmann and Bjorn Olsen and those West Coast collectors
prices before 1970 were even lower .

This is true, I suppose I may look at things through rose tinted glasses at times but still, if we could travel back I surely wouldOne must also remember the hourly wages were far lower for that time period when the helmet prices were low in 1970.
In 1970 in Minnesota the minimum wage ranged from $.70 to a whopping $1.15 per hour.
