This you may call a collection indeed! Maybe it's possible to make pictures of each helmet seperately... 8)

This is absolutely good stuff! That's the way to collect pickelhaubes...

Congrats,

Now that is just cRaZy... Absolutely marvelous.

Have you identified the owner of the IR109? Any chance of seeing a close photo of the early Hannoverian?

I can't help but notice your pool behind the helmets is not covered in ice like they all are here right now....

Mark- it is unbelievable.... I can´t speak-I can´t breathe. In one word : "Collector´s Heaven"
Can you show us the type of wooden holder? It must be special diameter for each one,or not?

Thanks for sharing,
Alexandr

Fantastic Mark:
I have never seen such a beautiful collection of officer helmets!! Brian

Yes to both your questions.
The 109 pickelhaube is reputedly from Richard Graf von Pfeil, Major and Battalion-Commander.

I'll post the Hannoverian tonight.

Also yes its very hot here right now it was 36C when I photographed these.

Sadowa,

Thanks for the comments.

Here are the helmet stand details

I buy them in batches of 6 from EBay. I have used the same
person over many years. His stands are custom made to your specifications.

The stands i use are 9.5 cms high. This enough to get clearance and keep the visor and rear neck guard off the shelves and thus prevents the stitching rupturing which happens on many pickelhaubes displayed without any support. A further useful effect is that if I stuff some kitchen roll on top of the stand columns I can tilt the pickelhaubes forward by 40 degrees or so thus I can see the whole front wappen instead of looking underneath the pickelhaubes if it was displayed flat. This is very useful for displays on shelves and critical for pickelhaubes on the top shelf.

He is highly recommended
