Please explainLooking for a 1887/91 Prussian Grenadier EM front plate in silver/zinc.
With or without the curved sword hand guard.
I think that a photo would helpHi Steve,
Thanks for the message.
The M15 is in zinc/silver trim, would the Grenadier front plate be in fieldgrey in this case?
I also require a spike, would this be in zinc/silver too?
This M15 has the shadow of a Prussian wappen on it. A regular one, so I do not know if a fieldgrey grenadier wappen would fit the mounting holes for it.Thanks Steve,
I’m not too familiar with Grenadier plates so this is all good knowledge thanks.
I was wanting to put one on this helmet.
I would delete the word silver when you ask about a plate for this helmetThanks Steve,

I agree with CoertYes it is. FAR36.
That was the place to start. The regimental mark gives the formal answer.
Here, then, it will be easy to find a grey-iron Prussian eagle of the line infantry model 15 (the most common of all the plates).
On the other hand, a removable M15 ball is difficult to find as a spare part. View attachment 61000View attachment 60999
I agree with the things Thierry wrote, a regular Prussian Line M15 wappen isn't that difficult to find, the removable artillerie ball is more rare. These do show up on ebay sometimes, then again not very often. You have to be quick when you see one for sale..
Then again, I visit ebay everyday, so I will keep an eye out for you @Pickels14 .
I will, at the end of this month there's a large militaria show here, which I will visit, if I find one, I'll let you know. If I see one on ebay too. Thanks for that Coert, that will be a big help. Please do let me know if you come across one or selling one.
