Good morning, can I buy your guardhelmet items and pay with paypal? best regards Herbert

This is a very interesting Wappen. There is flame on top of the scepter which is rare. I had a helmet with Wappen like this few years back. l think it is older version of grenadier eagles but not sure.

Thanks. I am not sure this is possible without without official published order. This is the second example I have seen so far.

I think it is a Grenadier eagle from post 1899, because it is very large. In 1899 the Guard and Grenadier eagles for officers were enlarged to a width of 28 cm (old: 23 cm) and a height of 12,5 cm (old: 11 cm).

@Amy: Unfortunately, the use of Guards and Grenadier eagles has not yet been adequately clarified. Although the AKO texts prescribe the same eagles for the various Grenadier regiments, you can find different eagles on helmets. I therefore consider a Grenadier eagle with Guard star for a Guard Grenadier regiment to be quite plausible.

Does this help?

Informative post, but unfortunately the photos of this post are deleted. However, Bernard had also published this comparison in a similar form on his website. Admittedly in French, but with photos:

Etude comparative des plaques des casques de troupe de la garde modèle 1860 et modèle 1895
