Renovation of 10 grenadier regiment officers pickelhaube

Got this amazing and pretty rare pickelhaube of 10 grenadier regiment officers. Straight from the basement in schlesien. Need to clean it and preserve becuase of rarity
I this moment its the only Photos i have, pickelhaube waits for me in uncles home

The condition is disastrous and only an experienced restorer can do it properly.If you don't have experience you will destroy the item.All brasses need to be annealed at the right temperature,so that they don't crack.Greetings

Yes unfortunetly condition hȧs a lot to ask. But rarity of this piece gives responisbily to Save it. I will try to find some proper conservator in Warsaw. Here photo of inside

Wojtek is a very good restorer and also Polish. I would ask him if the helmet could be saved and if he could help.

I do not provide services, I will simply repair it for you, because this is my hobby.Pickelhaube is not crooked and this will reduce the repair time significantly. You will have to replace the center and give a new polish,but this is not a problem.Write a message

I have an Oldenberg Dragoon officer with the same type of chin straps

How do you know that it is G R 10 ?
What about the helmet tells you this ?
